RhinoSnot can help AirForce in Afghanistan to reduce costs

03-08-2009

RhinoSnot, a soil stabilizer, has been extensively used by the US military to reduce 'brown-outs' in Afghanistan and Iraq. When using RhinoSnot it is possible to make a (semi-) permanent landing zone for both fixed and rotary wing aircraft. In dry conditions the effects of sand and dust can have devastating effect on the technical components of the aircrafts. The soil stabilizer reduces dust and sand to damage the equipment by implementing a 'film' of liquid over the ground surface. Depending on the layers of RhinoSnot the road or runway can be prepared for weeks to months of usage.

RhinoSnot can also be used as a Counter-IED measure. It is possible to use RhinoSnot when applying it as a protective layer on roads and soft shoulders and thereby reducing the threats of IED's used by insurgents in hostile environment.
